How a Place Becomes Holy
Sometimes a man
will start crying in the middle of the street,
without knowing why or for whom.
It is as though someone else is standing there,
holding his briefcase, wearing his coat.
And from beneath the rust of years,
come to his tongue the words of his childhood:
“I’m sorry,” and “G‑d,” and “Do not be far from me.”
And just as suddenly the tears are gone,
and the man walks back into his life,
and the place where he cried becomes holy.
From the book G‑d's Optimism by Yehoshua November

How A Place Becomes Holy Just as that man, cries a woman, somewhere, in her old years, and suddenly someone is there.
Then, she cries to G-d,
I'm sorry, G-d, for the years of ignorance, and deceit.
Suddenly there are no tears,
life seems to stand firm
those days are gone,
but you G-d are here.
Thank you Yehoshua November for bringing a poetic song to my old heart in tears. Now I can laugh back as I see a young, G-d loving, man sing to our Most High songs of praises.
