Kabbalah is agreed upon by all jews All Jews agree that very holy people should learn the secrets of the Torah and Hashem but the disagreement that has blown out of proportion is if Kabbalah should be taught to the masses or kept for the holiest people. Reply
Two points.
Wonderful Rabbi Schochet, however i'd like to ask on 2 points.
1. You stated that the Vilna Gaon himself said that we need to learn the nister (hidden parts) of torah. Where did you find this?
2. At the end you said that Kabbalh is perhaps te only thing that has been totally accepted by people from Rashbi till now. However, there were many misnagdim who opposed Chassidus/kabbalh. Also surely everyone accepts nigleh, the revealed torah. Please answer my queries Rabbi, or if anyone else could answer me please do. Thank you very much for the inspiring shiur.

Kabbalah I am so interested in the learning of Jewish mysticism. It's deep, profound and mind boggling. Any suggestions as to how one would go about learning?
