WOW....8/10. My major problem is with claiming that Great Neck has the largest Persian population. I did eat at a great Persian restaurant in Great Neck....aha, so I should have guessed Great Neck.

SHALOM NOW. Reply

Shalom. I was "blessed" to tour Persia (Iran today) before the advent of the Ayatollah horror.
Back then, the USA had a close, positive relationship with its government. There was even a John F. Kennedy Boulevard in Tehran. Isfahan was a wonderful city to visit where I met a Jewish jewelry shopkeeper. I traded a key chain with "Israel" on it for a beautiful Persian miniature. I still treasure it these many years later. Back when the Shah was in power over in Iran, relations between Iran and Israel/America were just fine. Then in the late 1970's, the American government decided to move in a different direction, which led to the Shah being replaced by the Ayatollah, and there has been trouble ever since, with Iran becoming the leading sponsor of terrorism in the entire world Reply

The Sha was not nice either, I feel sorry for the Iranian population. Reply

Many Iranians loyal to the Shah fled to South Africa during that time. Reply

in response to Feigue Cieplinski:

The Shah may have not been so nice either, but he was worlds better than the Ayatollah. In a way, a similar thing happened in Russia, where the awful Czar was replaced by the far worse Communist government. Keep in mind that we who live in America or Israel have it so much better than those who live under almost any other government in the world Reply

10/10. THIS WAS A GOOD QUIZ. BUT I THINK, TALKING TO RABBI (WILL NOT MENTION HIS NAME) STATED THAT HE BELIEVES THAT "MORE" THAN 2,500 JEWS HAVE LIVED IN PERSIA. WE WENT TO THE JEWISH ENCYCLOPEDIA AND IT STATED THE IN 1900 THERE WERE 35,000 PERSIAN JEWS. Reply
