Rabbi Dov Stein is the director of Wellsprings Recovery Community in Northbrook IL. Driven by a deep commitment to serving the Jewish community and a passion for supporting individuals in recovery, he founded the organization in affiliation with Chabad of Northbrook. Recognizing the need for specialized support within the North Shore suburbs of Chicago, Wellsprings provides a comprehensive range of resources for Jews navigating the challenges of recovery.

In his role as Recovery Rabbi, Rabbi Stein leverages his extensive training and experience to create a safe and nurturing environment for healing and growth. Holding a certificate from the Torah Psychology Addiction Recovery Life Coaching Program and certification as a mindfulness meditation instructor, he integrates these skills into a range of diverse programming.

Wellsprings offers a holistic approach to recovery, encompassing weekly meetings, insightful classes, uplifting Shabbat and holiday programs, expressive art therapy sessions, and wellness initiatives such as meditation and a running club. Wellsprings strives to provide a supportive community where individuals can find strength, connection, and spiritual guidance on their journey towards lasting recovery.
