Dear Rabbi,

I scored 8/9 on this quiz. I got question 3 incorrect due to the tricky wording of the question and the three choices to select from.
But, as always an excellent quiz. Reply

Rabbi,
Another wonderful Parshah summary and quiz. Reply

9/9 Reply

Dear Rabbi,

I scored 7/9 on this week’s quiz. Questions 2 and 3 were and always difficult for me. But, a very good quiz which covered many facts, customs, and, laws for the Jewish people and non-Jews to follow and or practice.

Peace,
Deborah Reply

I found the wording of the two "impure" questions confusing. I had thought a kohen couldn't become impure with the corpses of close family members because he is allowed to be near them, whereas I guess he does become impure but it's allowed. In the other cases he would become impure, but he's not allowed to, so I guess he doesn't. Reply

I found those questions to be confusing as well, which is partly why I did so poorly on this quiz Reply

Rabbi,
A good description of a very detailed Parshah. Reply

To my eyes the answer given for Question #2 is incorrect! The answer should be "His mother's" rather than the one accredited, "His married sister's". Thank for looking into this! Reply

Eliezer Zalmanov for Chabad.org May 15, 2025
in response to Ezra ben-Pesach:

The correct answer is as listed, that a Kohen MAY become impure for his mother, but not for his married sister (see Leviticus 21:2-3). Reply

I did even worse, scoring only 4/9 Reply

Deborah Lawrence, NJ May 19, 2024

I scored low on this test and it haunted me the next day. So, I just retook the test without reviewing previous readings or notes. I scored 9/9, because I learned from my mistakes on the difficult Kohen questions. Thank you Rabbi for the quizzes on the weekly readings.

Peace,
Deborah Reply

Deborah Lawrence May 18, 2024

5/9, the Kohen questions made the quiz difficult. But, I learned a lot about them with this quiz. Thank you Rabbi.

An interesting Parshah with many rules.
You presented it very well. Reply

Shalom VMS- I agree! Ezra Reply

Rabbi,
A very difficult quiz this time, with very specific rules.
A good quiz, though, for learning the overall understanding of the Parshah. Reply
