Dear Rabbi,

I scored 8/10 this year. I did not carefully read questions 3 and 9 and therefore selected the incorrect answers.

Peace

Rabbi,
Another excellent Parshah summary and quiz! Reply

I scored 9/10. The only one I got wrong, I barely missed, about who exactly wrote the second set of tablets. I thought it was Moses alone, but apparently G-d had something to say about it as well Reply

Deborah McBride Lawrence, NJ March 15, 2025

Dear Rabbi,

This year I scored 10/10 without reviewing or with notes and taken directly from finishing a nap (especially since the Sabbath ends later now).

Great readings (glad they are different with new comments) and quiz.

Peace,

Rabbi Posner, thank you for moving forward the Chabad all over the world. I love you teaching which is so important for our life for we are going there for non of us are going to be here on earth. So thank you a lot taking responsibility and teaching the word of God. Happy Purim Rabbi Menachem. Reply

Rabbi,
Another excellent Parshah description and quiz. Reply

lee Los Angeles January 15, 2025

On question nine

The quiz was who engraved the second tablets I answered G-d Himself.

Your answer was Moses carved the tablets and G-d engraved them

Is carving out tablets considered engraving.

And when you say who and the answer is G-d should not WHO be capitalized? Reply

Steve Ky March 28, 2024

Rabbi,
Another excellent study guide.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Steve Reply

9/10; I expected 10/10 but I got question #9 incorrect. I selected Moses for making the second set of tablets only not inscribing them.
But, still an excellent quiz for another topic with many details.

Peace,

in response to Deborah :

Your answer was completely correct. The question only solicited who hewed the stones. The ordinarily perspicacious (and funny) Rabbi Menachem appears to have gotten it wrong (to my eyes). Reply

This is the one question that I got wrong as well, plus I had answered it just as you had Reply

Rabbi,
An excellent discussion and quiz, as always.
Thank you very much! Reply

Ezra Ben-Pesach Chabad of Woodstock, NY February 28, 2024

Rabbi Menachem- I respectfully disagree with your answers to questions #8 and #9. (Then the Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as a man would speak to his companion). Thus, it appears that "His face" is a legitimate response as well. Your question #9 specifically asks who "hewed" the second set of tablets. (And the Lord said to Moses: "Hew for yourself two stone tablets like the first ones.). Thus, the answer of "Moses" alone is certainly correct. Ezra Ben-Pesach
PS- Thank you for your Holy, informative and entertaining Service! Reply

Deborah Lawrence, NJ March 2, 2024
in response to Ezra Ben-Pesach:

I agree with you about question #9. I also selected the answer Moses; because I read G-d told him he [Moses] had to hewn stones for the second tablets since he broke the first set.

But I am not sure if the engraving by G-d [5 commandments on each tablet]
went through the stone to be read backwards. Please clarify this for me.
Thank you very much.
Peace,

Shalom Deborah- What are you referring to in your second paragraph? Thx, Ezra Reply

Deborah Lawrence, NJ March 15, 2025
in response to Ezra ben-Pesach:

Ezra,

I just read your question about my question in the second paragraph.

As a Christian in 2024 I was new to studying the Torah in depth.

But now in 2025 I have been studying with Chabad.org and learned that G-d inscribed the second set of tablets so that the reader in front or in back can read the same inscriptions from left to right. Awesome!

Peace,

Rabbi,
These are excellent discussions of the Parshah's contents.
The quizzes are fun, and help with the learning.
The pictures are very quaint also.
You do fantastic work.
Do you do the pictures, or as I recall does your wife do them? Reply

Stephen Cohen Givat Shmuel March 7, 2023

8/10 this week slipped up on 2 questions .
The engraving of the second set of tablets and what Moshe did with The Golden Calf.
Careless because if I'd thought it through I probably could have come up with the right answers!
Nevertheless happy with my performance.
Great way of learning! Reply
