10/10 compared to the other people around the globe I must say: so many sokkos scattered on the Atlas, what a Kiddush Hashem! Reply
Dear Rabbi,
Excellent quiz! But, I scored 7/10 on Friday.
I don’t score well on questions related to major holidays.
Peace,
Deborah

10 I enjoy the quiz Thank you. Reply
The second question was poorly phrased.
It should have been " Must the material used to cover the Sukka
be organic [ie., grown rather than artificial]?"
I thought at first that the question was whether the Sukka covering on top had to be
growing [ie alive and still rooted in the soil], and was going to tap False.
But a friend who was looking over my shoulder explained that it was asking whether
the schach had to be organic material. And I replied, "Of course".
Chag Sameach and Shabbat Shalom from Jerusalem Israel.

I agree with Rivkah i
I got 10/10 but its really Hoshana Rabba that follows sukkot The next day is Shmini Atzeres
That was a trick Q!
TYSM for these quizzes!!!

Hoshana Raba is part of Sukkos, just it is an additional name to the last day of Chol Hamoed Sukkos, and is not its own Yom Tov, as Shmini Atzeres/Simchas Torah are Reply
10/10. There weren't any humorous decoy choices like in the usual multiple choice quizzes. Reply

I am not a Jew, but I follow the Hebrew feasts. I published a book on the feasts.

All to respect, isn’t the blessing we say for sitting in or dwelling in the Sukkah? So, it’s not a blessing for eating specifically. Reply
Correct. There are 3 blessings we say when entering the sukkah. 1. Leshev ba sukkah. 2. Al Ha Lulav. 3. Shehekiyanu, but I think that one is said only upon entering the sukkah for the first time, not every time. (I may have the last two out of order!) And then, there are all the blessings over food, whatever they may be. Reply
10 out of 10 points.

I scored a perfect 10. I did hesitate about a couple of them, especially the very last question. Fortunately, I got it right which means I can sleep better at night Reply
The easy way is to observe that Rosh Hashanah Is the first day of the month, a new moon, Yom Kippur is 10 days after and Succoth is 6 days after that. So, a full moon occurs 14 to 15 days after the new moon. Reply
Thank you Reply
