In the Promised Land

Joshua, Crossing the Jordan, Partition of the Land, Joshua's Admonition

An account of our people Israel in the Land of Israel, and the Divine Providence that sent us Judges and prophets.
After the death of Moses, Joshua prepared the invasion of Canaan. He sent two spies to Jericho, where Rahab had hidden them.
The Jewish people passed over the Jordan, conquered Jericho and Ai, and won a complete victory over thirty-one kings.
After seven years of continuous war, Joshua divided the conquered land among the different tribes.
Joshua warned the elders to guard against assimilation and keep the Torah. Before his death, the Israelites promised never to serve other gods.
