Learning Mishlei: Chapter Four, Part 2 - Chapter Five, Part 1

Regarding "looking straight" (Learning Mishlei: Chapter Four, Part 2 - Chapter Five, Part 1), although this apparently not what the classical commentaries say, when someone lying or uncomfortable with themselves for some reason about hat they are saying, they tend to have troubles looking at the person they are talking to. So back handedly, there is an implication of, in general, when talking with someone to look at them. Additionally, you should say things that you are comfortable saying so that you are "looking straight" at them (as opposed to trying to say something that is not fully forthright misleading). Whether that was an intended meaning of the verse, I of course don't know for sure, but hope that it is a helpful truism all the same. Reply
