In 1974, Rabbi Shimon and Goldie Feld became engaged. But while they were making plans for their wedding celebration, they were also receiving worrying news from the doctors who were treating Goldie’s father for a cancer that he was battling. When some Chassidim suggested that they ask the Rebbe for a blessing for him to be able to attend the wedding, they grabbed the opportunity.
