Nagasaki The story about the Jewish cemetery in Nagasaki was very interesting , I did not know it dates back to 1880. I assume they were from the Sassoon family . I have also read somewhere that in the ancient days ( I think 500 - 800 CE) the Hata Clan who were Jews settled in Japan, 20,000 of them came via Korea. They would have reached the Kyushu Island first where all foreigners had to enter through. I wondered if some of them settled in Nagasaki .
