Mishpatim: Laws
Exodus 21:1–24:18
After giving the Torah to the Jewish people, G‑d told Moses to ascend Mount Sinai again – this time for 40 days – in order to teach him the details of the Torah’s laws. The sixth section of the Book of Exodus is primarily a selection of the laws (Mishpatim, in Hebrew) that G‑d taught Moses while he was on Mount Sinai.
