Blessings and Advice for the New Year: 6 Tishrei, 5742· October 4, 1981

Thank you to all who conveyed their good wishes for the New Year. May G-d’s promise be fulfilled: "I will bless those who bless you." It is difficult to answer individual questions during these months of Elul and Tishrei. But when a person truly connects with his inner Divine Soul, G-d illuminates his mind and heart with the wisdom to make the right decision.

Thank you to all who conveyed their good wishes for the New Year. May G-d’s promise be fulfilled: "I will bless those who bless you."

It is difficult to answer individual questions during these months of Elul and Tishrei. But when a person truly connects with his inner Divine Soul, G-d illuminates his mind and heart with the wisdom to make the right decision.

Some questions have been answered repeatedly in the past and need not be asked again: Questions about where to study during the new year should be addressed to the administration of one’s most recent Yeshiva. Questions about traveling to New York for the High Holidays should be addressed to a Rabbinic Authority; in cases where it might lead to financial debt, it should not even be considered.

May G-d bless each person to truly connect with your inner Divine Soul, which will guide you "to know G-d in all your ways," and for "all your actions to be for the sake of Heaven."
