On the fourteenth of Kislev in 1928, the Rebbe married Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka, the middle daughter of the Previous Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schneerson.

This is for congratulations for your fiftieth wedding anniversary. My apologies for always mixing into your affairs, but I hope you’re making a gathering for this occasion.

Rabbi Sholom Geisinsky recalls that when his father moved from New York to Cleveland, Ohio, the Rebbe personally assisted him in securing a new rabbinic position. While he was very grateful to the Rebbe for his help, he was especially touched when the Rebbe’s persistent questioning reminded him of a personal matter. (1951)
