An address to children: On the fourth day of the Exodus, Pharaoh’s emissaries reminded the Jews that they had only been granted a three-day pass to worship in the desert; it was time to return to Egypt as slaves.

The Passover Seder begins with the child’s question: “Why is this night different from all other nights?” Fundamentally, the question bothering the child is: “Why am I different from children of all other nations?”
