“I shall sing hymns and weave melodies, for my soul longs for You. My soul desires Your shelter, to know all Your mystery.” The Rebbe taught this Niggun on Simchas Torah, 1961.

The Talmud states: “Our forefather Jacob never died. From where do we know this? From the verse: ‘Fear not, Jacob… for I will save you from afar and your seed from their captivity’ — just as his seed is alive, he too, is alive.” But why only Jacob? Don’t Abraham and Isaac live forever as well?

The Talmud asks: “How does one sing the bride's praises to the groom? The House of Shammai holds: Describe her as you see her” — praise her beauty only if she is beautiful… “The House of Hillel holds: Always say, ‘what a beautiful and graceful bride!’”
