“Every additional mikvah is accelerating the arrival of our righteous redeemer.”

Rabbi Yechiel Michel Stern is a prolific author and rabbi of the Ezrat Torah neighborhood in Jerusalem. In the early 1980s, he served on Israel’s ministry of religious services, supervising numerous mikvahs in Jerusalem and across Israel.

In the 1970s the Rebbe issued a call for a campaign to strengthen and promote the observance of Family Purity among all segments of the Jewish community.

“According to Jewish law, so long as a legal contract is not contested, it is not fully authenticated. Only after it stands up to a challenge is its authenticity fully confirmed. Now that you have overcome your opposition, you will proceed even stronger than before.”

The Sages teach that the Holy Temple was destroyed on account of unwarranted hatred, and will be rebuilt through unwarranted love. Rabbi Pinchas Weberman recalls a private audience in 1973 where the Rebbe explained just how literal this teaching is.
