In 1956 Rabbi Eitan Green was a yeshiva student in Beis Medrash Govoha in Lakewood, New Jersey, when he had an audience with the Rebbe. He had a theory about the precise accuracy of some of the statements made by our sages. The Rebbe fundamentally disagreed, and referenced Einstein’s Theory of Relativity to make his point.

Rabbi Sholom Rephune is an educator and community activist. In the early 1970s, while serving as principal of Manhattan Day School, he made an appointment to see the Rebbe. It was an important meeting for him, as he had a long list of questions that he wished to ask the Rebbe about reconciling science with the Torah.
