Chassidim sing the Rostover Niggun as a prelude to the Rebbe’s Chassidic discourse.

At a farbrengen, Chasidim sing the Nigun Hachanah, customarily sung before the recital of a Chasidic discourse. This nigun was often sung by the fifth Rebbe of Chabad, Rabbi Sholom Dovber Schneersohn.

“And we, Your people, the flock of Your pasture, will thank You forever; for all generations we will recount Your praise.” (Psalms 79:13) Chassidim sing a Niggun composed for the Rebbe’s 78th birthday.
