We as believers are commanded to have children , because, if good people don't have children what kind of world will it be? Reply
There is a saying 'The best is enemy of the good'. G-d knew best about the dangers of overpopulation, even in Noah's time.. Sages should refrain from adding things to His 'mitzvoh', because they are much less sages than G-d is. Reply
1.What is it really all about? 2.Why does one marry?
As a Jew, who after 46 years of chasing after Life has been granted the consciousness of her Jewishness and after almost 4 years now, stands mesmerized facing this Love, Intelligence, Generosity, Elegance and Nobility of which we as a Jewish people have been given the inexplicable honor and responsibility of calling our Source, our Essence, I can only say that it is and can only be about my love for Him, my infinite, absolutely infinite gratitude to Him and my boundless admiration for Him.
So I shall to the utmost of my capacity love, protect and defend Him and His Cause and the spouse who He has handpicked for me, in whom He has invested part of His precious Divine Heart which meets, complements and fortifies my share of His Divine Heart. It is from the dynamics of this love triangle that everything else will follow, including the issue of procreation.
'I want Him here and I shall do whatever it takes to bring Him here." That's the bottom line of the Jew.
