Vov and Yud Dear Anomymous,

You make a very good point. But, you will agree that Vayehi has the yud before the vov (i.e. letters in descending order) and Vehaya has the vov before the yud (i.e. letters in ascending order). Hence Vayehi represents downward movement more than Vehaya does. Reply
