As Jews affirm and do not take oaths, what is the form of an affirmation? And what does a Jew do when he is called to give testimony? Does he simply say his piece, or does he affirm? And what if any is the difference when called before a Rabbinic court versus a secular court? Reply

3 days without sleep Apparently it has been scientifically proven that people can stay awake for longer than 3 days without any sleep. So it seems that that statement of our sages must not be absolute, but is rather a general statement which applies to the vast majority of people. Reply
