High Risk Investment
Hi,
People invest money. G‑d invests people.
People invest money into whatever they think could give them back more money.
G‑d invests people into those situations He knows could give Him back better people.
So, this week, we read the story of G‑d investing His people into slavery in Egypt.
Definitely a high-risk investment. But, without it, there would be no Torah, no eternal Jewish Nation, no concept of freedom or human dignity in our world.
Good investors study good, successful investments. That’s another good reason to read this week’s parshah and all the wisdom our sages have taught on it. And then to apply that wisdom to our lives.
Let me know what you gained this week from the situation G‑d has invested you in. Is He turning a profit?

The answer seems simple enough: The Torah itself references witchcraft . . .
Whenever she sees me, she throws a fit of rage and shouts at me in public or leaves the event, claiming she can't be in the same room with me.

This week, for maybe the first time in my adult life, I attended a Hachnasat Sefer Torah that affected me deeply, in ways I could not have imagined beforehand.
Our upstairs neighbors for the past four years have been, well, challenging to say the least.
He headed leading Chabad-Lubavitch yeshivahs, teaching thousands of students.
Distributing more than 1,500 Jewish bibles statewide as an act of light and learning.
Chabad comes to the Mexico resort city, bringing Torah study, kosher food and even weddings.
In its 10th year, Chabad ‘Big Brother/Big Sister’ program keeps evolving.
I would like to share a story with you which, had it not happened to me, I would have never have believed ever took place.
What will be in the next moment is not in this one now.
It does not yet exist.
It has yet to be created.
When its time comes, then it will be created by the Creator of all things out of nowhere, emerging from the void.
