Dear readers,

How many languages do you know? Have you ever translated from one language to another?

The Torah tells us about Moses, who translated one document into no less than seventy languages. 3,284 years ago, just weeks before his passing, G‑d told him to transcribe the Torah in 70 languages. Now, I wonder how many Israelites even spoke more than ancient Hebrew, or some broken Egyptian? But G‑d wanted His Torah to be available in all current languages.

Fast forward thousands of years. Jews live just about everywhere and speak many different languages. While we do not offer chabad.org in 70 languages (yet), we do have seven: French, German, Hebrew, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, and, of course, English.

Do you have a friend who is fluent in those languages? If yes, send him a quick link and tell him about the vast Jewish resource at his fingertips. Invite him to join you, and the rest of our global community.
