Whales are not kosher. The Torah tells us that only mammals who chew their cud and have split hooves are kosher. Regarding fish, we are told that only those with fins and scales are kosher. Thus, regardless of whether we consider the whale a fish (since it lives in water and somewhat resembles a fish) or a mammal (as science does), it does not meet the criteria to be kosher.
