Caution: The Days of Awe can be detrimental to your health if you suffer from Major Depression.

If you are seriously depressed, it is often best not to engage in too much self-reflection.

Those who secretly tend to think of Rosh HaShanah through Yom Kippur as the 'Days of Death' rather than the 'Days of Awe' should avoid workbooks and other intensive preparations for the Holidays. Reply

Maybe for some of us the first goal for Rosh Hashanah needs to be learning to love ourselves more and being compassionate with ourself and others. Beating ourselves up inside for not being perfect doesn’t help you be a better person. It just zaps your energy and makes you want to escape. It’s always important to strive to be better but do it lovingly. Reply
