World-renowned psychologist Dr. Reuven Feuerstien visits the Rebbe:
“It says in Likutei Torah that in Israel, a Jew achieves with one day of the Festival, what it
takes us, here, two days. Good tidings for all your activities inside and outside of Israel.”

You must publicize that you are visiting Israel, because there are Jews who are scared, and
scaring others, about going to Israel. Publicize your trip, and that there’s nothing to fear,
because it is the safest place — the place of the Holy Temple.

Israel is the safest country. El-Al signifies to strive for higher, Israel should do so as well in Torah and Mitzvos. Every plane should have a charity box, and I will give one dollar for each plane to help cover the cost of the charity boxes.

“The Land of Israel is ‘The Land which G-d’s eyes are upon from the beginning of the year until the end.’ I tell everyone that it is safe to travel there. Someone who is already there is forbidden by Jewish law from leaving. And those who planned to travel there, but cancel their plans, will be perceived by others as having violated Jewish Law.”

“One reason I do not visit Israel is that I have not found sufficient Halachic grounds to allow me to leave Israel and return to America. I cannot abandon American Jewry. Even if I could return, my return itself could be interpreted as a ‘preference’ for America over the Holy Land.”

All of Israel belongs to the Jews. No one can give away the property of the entire Jewish people. Our enemies wish to do us harm, regardless of how Israel tries to appease them. Giving them land will not help the situation.

The 1991 “Miss Israel” winner visits the Rebbe: “Torah says: ‘Beauty is false.’ But the verse continues: ‘A G-d-fearing woman is to be praised.’ The commentaries explain that if a woman is G-d-fearing, she uses her beauty for beautiful endeavors in Torah and Mitzvos. Good tidings, and please relay this message to your friends.”

Likud Party member Mr Abraham Sharir visits the Rebbe:
“Israel must stand stong against all pressures to relinquish land. Our father Abraham was also called: “Eitan – the Steadfast One,” for he stood strong against all opposition. So too, when people see you they should think of you not only as Abraham, but as “Eitan.”

An address to the members of the Machne Israel Development Fund
A Jew starts the day reciting Modeh Ani: “I give thanks to You, living and eternal King, for
returning my soul with great mercy.” G-d returns our souls invigorated, refreshed and robust
so that we may have a healthy day in all ways, both physically and spiritually. And He does
this with “great mercy.” Even if it would just be G-d’s “ordinary” mercy we would obviously
receive everything we need. But when we emphasize that G-d gives with “great mercy,” it
means that G-d gives even that which one doesn’t feel a need for.

Chief Rabbi of Tel Aviv, Rabbi Yisrael Meir Lau, visits the Rebbe:
Take advantage of your time as Chief Rabbi of Tel Aviv; I hear that you will become Chief
Rabbi of Israel within the next two years. If I can convince you that it’s for you, it will most
probably materialize — but you have to truly want it.

Chabad Chassidim have always been working with Russian Jewry. Even under communism they drew Russian Jews close to Torah with love. Now that Jews are free to leave Russia, many have gone to Israel instead of other countries because they were encouraged by Chabad Chassidim.
