Nitzavim: Sealing the Covenant
Deuteronomy 29:9–30:12
In the eighth section of the Book of Deuteronomy, Moses begins his third and final farewell address to the Jewish people, which he delivered on the day he would die, the 7th of Adar, 2448. He opens his address by telling the people that they are all standing (Nitzavim, in Hebrew) before him in order to seal the covenant between them and G‑d.
