Matot: Facing Challenges
Numbers 30:2–32:42
The ninth section of the Book of Numbers begins as Moses addresses the heads of the tribes (Matot, in Hebrew), teaching them the laws of vows and oaths. It then resumes the historical narrative, recounting the events during the last year of the Jewish people’s trek in the desert as they prepare to cross the Jordan River into the Land of Israel.

Daily Quote
If you follow My statutes and observe My commandments and perform them: I will give your rains in their time, the land will yield its produce, and the tree of the field will give forth its fruit. Your threshing will last until the vintage, and the vintage will last until the sowing; you will eat your food to satiety, and you will live in security in your land. And I will grant peace in the land . . .
