Women Lead the Way
The Midrash teaches that the sin of the Golden Calf was enabled by the men, as opposed to the women who refused to partake in it. Moreover, when it came to contributing materials to build the tabernacle in the desert, it was the women who were first to step up to the task,
followed by the men.

Exodus 32
The account in Exodus 32 say 'the people' rose up to indulge in revelry. not just the men, although it seems to be the men who were killed for their sin.
It seems that G-d was able to get the people of Israel out of Egypt, rather quicker than He was able to get Egypt out of the people of Israel
