Esau: (1653-1506 BCE) Also known as Edom. Son of Rebecca and Isaac. He sold his birthright to his younger twin Jacob. A hunter, he led an immoral lifestyle, though he excelled in honoring his father. He eventually settled in Seir, and is the progenitor of Edom.
Isaac had attained such a lofty nature that his body was a loyal agent of his soul.
