This was devastatingly powerful to me. The very line you quoted leapt off the page at me this week and your commentary about the scope of its meaning moved me even further The commandment not to do evil because everyone else is doing it has to be the most important tenant for the modern world, when ignorant acceptance of belief and thought by the many can be a greater danger than the intentional harmful acts of the few.
