When Yehuda last saw him, Joseph was 17 years old and did not yet have a beard.
Also if you look at Egyptian art you can see that men in positions of
power wore what we would call makeup in the eye area. See for example the death mask of Tutankhamen.

It was very fitting that you dedicated it to the kedoshim from Sydney... and your words toward the end were very applicable to the people described in the article "The Heroes of Bondi Beach" published in this week's Chabad.org magazine. Each person descrribed stepped forward of his or her own volition to save others, unarmed against assailants wielding powerful firearms.
Thank you Chana--yes, some of those incredibly inspiring stories emerged after I recorded this episode which is why I didn't mention them. But you are so right.
