Thank you for your meaningful and extremely profound shiur. Most of us have experienced trauma of some sort during the last five years, it is a societal and personal issue. Also Exile and its effects have affected us and our parents, grandparents, and friends. I have wondered how my parents were so normal after what they went through, and I realize what they did is they left their "old selves" behind. They hardly ever spoke of their horrific experiences in Nazi Germany, their loss of two children, and starting from nothing when they each arrived at Ellis Island.
