Publicizing the miracle of Chanukah To assist my elderly mother I moved to a small community with a devoutly Christian population but almost no Jewish presence (I'm a single woman for whom chinuch of children and a daily minyan are not relevant). All the houses in the neighborhood are decorated for the seasonal holiday, and as I was listening to this I was making a banner for my front window that says "Happy Hanukkah." I was feeling that maybe I shouldn't be doing this--when I lived in communities with strong Orthodox and Chabad communities no one decorated for Chanukah.. This very interesting talk reassured me that under my circumstances it's a very appropriate thing to do. Reply
