The seventh section of the Book of Deuteronomy concludes Moses’ second farewell address to the Jewish people. It contains Moses’ completion of his review of the commandments, beginning with one that would become relevant only after the Jewish people would enter (Tavo, in Hebrew) the Land of Israel – that of bringing the first fruits of each year’s harvest to the holy Temple. It then continues with Moses’ review of the covenant between G d and the Jewish people.
