In this week’s Torah portion, the Jews leave Egypt and receive the commandment to keep the Passover. What practical preparations are needed to be ready for Pesach?
Rabbi Mendel Kaplan is the Spiritual Leader and Executive Director of Chabad Flamingo in Thornhill, Ontario, serving one of Canada’s most dynamic Jewish communities. He also serves as Chaplain of the York Regional Police Service. He is an active member of Toronto’s Vaad HaRabbanim (Council of Orthodox Rabbis), and a voting member of the COR Kashruth Council of Canada’s executive rabbinical board. I come to fully understand that the most holiest law,pratice and wisdom are with the jews how blessed are you generations of Abraham..

Getting Ready for Passover Shabbat and Passover together very busy household this year. Best do all of it so that we can do as G-d has commanded us to do, Blessed Be His Name. Reply
Loved this. I always give away my unopened chemetz to a local non- Jewish food bank. But the opened items I sign the contract for a non- Jewish person to have if needed. But my wonder and thought that I'm playing with semantics. Which really bothers me. I often wonder if Hashem did a 2nd exodus what would Hashem view my keeping it in my apt as ownerless.? I realize it is for nullification of my own puffiness and sin, But I still struggle with keeping it locked up. Can you please clarify my concerns.
