Timely This explanation of the parsha is so reminiscent of politicians today. Reply
Oh yes, history repeats itself It's interesting how much of a parallel there is today; the Israeli govt is moving "settlers" from their own given land, muzzling them so to speak, to appease the surrounding nations. Israel continues to offer, offer, offer in exchange for safe passage... Except now the land being bargained with belongs to HaShem and is not to be used thusly. But soon the King will return.
