Thank you so much for posting this beautiful lehning B"H. It is very, very much appreciated! Can Am Yisroel not afford to invest in a higher technical quality recording for this precious mesorah? If I could fund such a project, I would. As it is, the very least I can do is encourage that this would be a crucial project for Chabad to undertake, especially with the current health crisis keeping millions of Jews away from heraing the lehning each week! Hatzlacha im chol halev. Reply
The first 4 minutes are the Torah portion, but what are the other 20 minutes? Reply
The torah portion of each week is split into 7 sections [in the holy language "aliyah's"] which are read on their designated week and for which 8 men- [1 extra where the a small part of the 7'th section is repeated] - are called up to make a blessing on the torah for that section [one from the kohen tribe for the first, a levite for the second, and the rest from the yisrael tribe]
The first 4 minutes are the first section which is also read on the Monday and Thursday prior to the sabbath of that week's torah portion, the other 20 minutes are the rest of the "aliyah's".
