Chumash Classes: Va'etchanan

Introduction, Moshe realizing that he is about to die and that the people have not prayed to G-d for him, he offers his own prayers to G-d in the hope that G-d will allow him to enter the land of Israel. (Ch.3 verses 23 - 25)

Moshe continues to speak to the people about the foundation of faith.(Ch. 4 verses 5 - 11)

We continue with Moshe giving over to the people the foundation of our faith.. He then continues with the importance of allegiance to G-d Almighty. (Ch. 4 verses 12 - 22)

Moshe continues with warnings about the future and their addiction to serving idols. But in the end they will return back to G-d.(Ch. 4 verses 23 - 30)

Moshe continues with the theme of allegiance to G-d. He reminds them of all that they saw at the giving of the Torah something that no other nation has ever experienced before or after. He reminds them of their connection to the forefathers, their ace in the hole.(Ch. 4 verses 31 - 40)

Moshe designates 3 cities on the East side of the Jordan as Cities of Refuge even though they would not become operational until Yehoshua would designate 3 Cities of Refuge in Israel proper.(Ch. 4 verses 41 - 49)

Moshe reviews the first 4 commandments of the 10 commandments.(Ch. 5 Verses 1 - 15)

The 5th commandment and then the last 5 commandments on the 2nd tablet. The chapter concludes with Moshe reviewing the revelation at Mt. Sinai.(Ch. 5 verses 16 - 30)
