46.1 Blood Spots on Eggs If one finds a blood spot on the yolk but the whites are clear, must one discard both yolk and whites? With hard boiled eggs, does one dispose of the entire egg if a spot is found or just the affected area, since the spot is set? Reply
Re: Blood Spots on Eggs If the blood spot is found in the yoke, the entire egg must be discarded. If found in the white, being that there are different opinions, one should discard the whole egg as well. The same is true for hard boiled eggs, the entire egg should be discarded.
