אלְדָוִ֡ד אֵ֘לֶ֚יךָ יְהֹוָ֨ה | אֶקְרָ֗א צוּרִי֘ אַל־תֶּֽחֱרַ֪שׁ מִ֫מֶּ֥נִּי פֶּן־תֶּֽחֱשֶׁ֥ה מִמֶּ֑נִּי וְ֜נִמְשַׁ֗לְתִּי עִם־י֥וֹרְדֵי בֽוֹר: |
| 2Hearken to the voice of my supplications when I cry out to You, when I lift my hands towards Your Holy Sanctuary. |

בשְׁמַ֚ע ק֣וֹל תַּֽ֖חֲנוּנַי בְּשַׁוְּעִ֣י אֵלֶ֑יךָ בְּנָשְׂאִ֥י יָ֜דַ֗י אֶל־דְּבִ֥יר קָדְשֶֽׁךָ: |
| 3Do not cause me to be drawn with the wicked or with those who work iniquity, who speak peace with their friends but evil is in their heart. |
|
גאַל־תִּמְשְׁכֵ֣נִי עִם־רְשָׁעִים֘ וְעִם־פֹּ֪עֲלֵ֫י אָ֥וֶן דֹּֽבְרֵ֣י שָׁ֖לוֹם עִם־רֵֽעֵיהֶ֑ם וְ֜רָעָ֗ה בִּלְבָבָֽם: |
| Do not cause me to be drawn: Heb. תמשכני, do not draw me with the wicked; treras moy in Old French. |
|
אל תמשכני:
אל תרגילני עם רשעים אטרירא"ש מו"י בלעז:
|
| 4Give them according to their deeds and according to the evil of their endeavors; according to the work of their hands give to them; return their recompense to them. |
|
דתֶּן־לָהֶ֣ם כְּפָֽעֳלָם֘ וּכְרֹ֪עַ מַֽעַלְלֵ֫יהֶ֥ם כְּמַֽעֲשֵׂ֣ה יְ֖דֵיהֶם תֵּ֥ן לָהֶ֑ם הָשֵׁ֖ב גְּמוּלָ֣ם לָהֶֽם: |
| 5For they do not understand the works of the Lord or the deeds of His hands. He shall break them down and not build them up. |
|
הכִּ֚י לֹ֪א יָבִ֡ינוּ אֶל־פְּעֻלֹּ֣ת יְ֖הֹוָה וְאֶל־מַֽעֲשֵׂ֣ה יָ֣דָיו יֶֽ֜הֶרְסֵ֗ם וְלֹ֣א יִבְנֵֽם: |
| 6Blessed is the Lord, for He has heard the voice of my supplication. |
|
ובָּר֥וּךְ יְהֹוָ֑ה כִּ֥י שָׁ֜מַע ק֣וֹל תַּֽחֲנוּנָֽי: |
| 7The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in Him and I was helped; my heart rejoiced and I will thank Him with my song. |
|
זיְהֹוָ֚ה | עֻזִּ֥י וּמָֽגִנִּי֘ בּ֚וֹ בָטַ֥ח לִבִּ֗י וְנֶֽ֫עֱזָ֥רְתִּי וַיַּֽעֲלֹ֥ז לִבִּ֑י וּמִשִּׁירִ֥י אֲהוֹדֶֽנּוּ: |
| and I will thank Him with my song: Now what is the thanks?… |
|
ומשירי אהודנו:
ומה היא ההודיה:

| 8The Lord is strength to them and He is the stronghold of the salvations of His anointed. |
|
חיְהֹוָ֥ה עֹֽז־לָ֑מוֹ וּמָ֘ע֚וֹז יְשׁוּע֖וֹת מְשִׁיח֣וֹ הֽוּא: |
| The Lord is strength to them: to those who rely on Him, viz. the entire house of Israel, at the time that He is the stronghold of the salvations of His anointed. |
|
ה' עוז למו:
לאותן התלוין בו בעת שמעוז ישועות משיחו הוא:
|
| 9Save Your people and bless Your inheritance, and tend them and elevate them forever. |
|
טהוֹשִׁ֚יעָה אֶת־עַמֶּ֗ךָ וּבָרֵ֥ךְ אֶת־נַֽחֲלָתֶ֑ךָ וּֽרְעֵ֥ם וְ֜נַשְּׂאֵ֗ם עַד־הָעוֹלָֽם: |
| and tend them: Heb. ורעם, an expression of pasture (מרעה). |
