Some of us have taken very hard knocks to learn this truth: Job or no job - wife or no wife - we simply do not stop drinking so long as we place dependence upon other people ahead of dependence on G‑d. Burn the idea into the consciousness of every man that he can get well regardless of anyone. The only condition is that he trust in G‑d and clean house. - Big Book of AA page 98

commitment
I've been a member OA for 1/2 yr. Thank G-d, by doing the 12 Steps, attending meetings, speaking to my sponsor daily, and doing service, I have been able to turn my life completely around.
Reading the "Daily Dose" and tuning into Jewish Recovery have added greatly to my return to sanity as well.
Much thanks to Rabbi Pinson for his excellent, insightful and non-judgmental lessons.
I have recently been asked to become an OA sponsor, which I accept with gratitude to our Father in Heaven who heals the nation of Israel with His infinite mercy.
