Completion of Chapter 1 A friend of mine and I are going through Pirkei Avot for the second time. These audio lessons have added a great deal of depth and understanding to our study! Thanks! Reply

Justice Truth and Peace On the first chapter of Pirkei Avot Rabbi Mendel Kaplan taught me a great deal plus he has a very pleasnt sense of humor which makes listening to his audio very enjoyable. Reply

I have a couple of questions re: Shalom.
1. Does this apply only to humans or also the rest of the animal world.
2. G-d created perfection but the nature of man (going back in history as well as today) seems to be anything but peaceful. I am having a difficult time figuring this out.
