2May the Name of the Lord be blessed from now and to all eternity.
3From the rising of the sun to its setting, the Name of the Lord is praised.
4The Lord is high above all nations; His glory transcends the heavens.
5Who is like the Lord our God, Who dwells on high
6 [yet] looks down so low upon heaven and earth!
7He raises the poor from the dust, lifts the destitute from the dunghill,
8to seat them with nobles, with the nobles of His people.
9He transforms the barren woman into a household, into a joyful mother of children. Praise the Lord!
