Living Achdus Hashem

Chassidus offers a rich tapestry of ideas and presentations that grants access to Achdus Hashem from every angle.171 The time of year, the mitzvah at hand, and even one’s occupation all relate to specific facets of this encompassing mission of Divine Oneness.172 In the forthcoming chapters and throughout this series, much color and detail will be added to the above, very general presentation.

Living Achdus Hashem is a most life-enriching experience: it fills the person with trust in G‑d and awareness of His Presence; the attitude of bittul circumvents many of life’s hurdles; and the realization that now, at this very moment, G‑d is creating me and the entire world, grants an ultimate sense of purpose and joy.

What remains, of course, is for Mashiach’s arrival to take ­Achdus Hashem from being a pursuit of study and contemplation to ­become the most obvious reality. Then, all existence will naturally perceive that “all of creation is only created for His glory,”173 and all nations will recognize that “G‑d is One and His Name is One.”174
