Rosh Chodesh.
Very nice presentation, THANKS.
Yes, the prayer is Birkat HaChodesh recited during Shabat Mevarchim.
Shabat Mevarchim is the last Shabat before Rosh Chodesh.

i have often wondered about this question - its one of the most intriguing to me; ancient customs.
Is there a special prayer to be said for the Rosh Chodesh as it occurs each month?

Thank You, Rabbi, for the illustrated teaching of Rosh Chodesh, one of my special movements of the month. During my youth, while reading about this minor holiday, for us, Jewish women, I remember always, and repeatedly say to myself when seeing the full month, to count my days because in fifteen days from that full month, a new month, Rosh Chodesh will beginning again, giving me a new fresh start. Thank you again.
