Igeret HaKodesh: Epistle 1 - Part 1

looking at the chabad site the coming of the Moshiach will not change the order of nature, just the political order so that everybody realizes that the Moshiach is a good and true world leader. It says that food will be plentiful. The idea that Gd would create something unnecessary is rejected in Babylonian Talmud Shabbat 77b so there still has to be some purpose for food after Moshiach comes. I never yet heard the one about our bodies not needing food and would love to know where that comes from in Midrash or Talmud etc. It could be an individual opinion, of which the page on the Chabad site suggests there are many. Why have it if we can't use it? When Mashiach comes our bodies will be holier than our souls, but our bodies will not need food and yet the bark of trees will be etible and we will have all kinds of delicacies.... what for if we will not need it? Reply
