Tzodokah
What if the atonement "Tzodokah" would cause a person to pay all of his income, isn't it forbidden that one should give away this amount money and then be reliable upon other? Is there a ceiling for yearly contributions for atonement? Also it would seem that for sure a person should not be able to derive any monetary benefit (example: tax break), so no record should be kept. So can you explain all the ways this type of Tzodokah differs besides what you have already mentioned in your Sheer?
Thank you!

Tzodokah The author of Tanya, Rabbi Shneur Zalman, asks and answers your question in Book Four - Igeres Hakodesh - the end of Chapter (or letter) 10. Please study it carefully and you will find your question asked and answered.
