three answers The calculation is the pledge; the coming is the payoff with or without collection costs except that as Rambam says, we know the payoff (Moshiach) is coming.
The calculation is the calculation; it doesn't determine future reality because we're not talking science here. There was a guy who calculated three different dates for the end of the world, two of them occurring in 2012, and all the dates pased and we're still here.
Answer three, the calculation is man's estimate; the coming of the Moshiach is Gd's action and man cannot force His hand by making a calcuilation.
I hear fulfilling mitsvot hastens Moshiach. Concentrating your willpower, mind, and physical energy in mitsvot will make the time past fast.
